Hey all,
Can anyone shed any light on the 'shims' I found when I popped out the rear pads from my GSA 16'plate rear calliper.
I was expecting to only find 2 brake pads, but what actually came out was the 2 brake pads as expected, plus one very thin metal plate, shaped the same as the brake pad structure; and a plastic/cardboard type piece of material again the same shape as the brake pads.
Anyone shed any light on what these extra two pieces of brake pad shaped materials may be and why they are in my brakes? I thought it was just pads and calliper, I wasn't prepared for other shapes bits and pieces? I can't find any reference to them in user manual etc....
Cheers.
