Hi gents,
while I was driving down the Splugen pass yesterday at a quite high pace, my rear brake started to fail on me.
Luckily, that did not happen all of a sudden but with a "decent" warning time.
At the end, the pedal would go loose all the way down with no braking at all.
Stopped and checked: if working the pedal a few times, I could see some small bubbles coming out from the bottom half of the brake pump although no oil was leeking - oil reservoir still at level.
After a while the brake seemed to have regained its power (tried just a few times).
Went along with the ride (much more carefully) trying to avoid using the rear brake.
In my opinion, I believe the failure was a combination of heavy breaking + high temperature in the pump - some o-rings need replacement?
Any experience or opinion to be reported would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
