After buying my RT ('83) in December and riding around, I noticed a few bits and pieces that I wanted to have done.

It needed a new battery, horns, and a bit of a general clean up. Also, I'd noticed that the using the rear disk brake was the equivalent of dragging your feet on the floor.

After speaking to Jim Hill about cleaning up the bike and stopping some leaks, I also asked about the pros and cons of converting the brake to a drum. Jim said there were no cons, he had some wheels already, I said go ahead.

Just picked up the bike. Despite Jim saying that the rear brake will need to bed in, I can already feel the difference, it's going to be a vast improvement.

Headlight upgrade

Mr Nimrod suggested an upgrade to the headlight, which was to add a low energy bulb in the spare hole in the headlight, so as to fill the dish with light on sidelight, without using battery power, when going around town etc. You can be seen but you're not using the energy to cast a beam.

All in all, I'm really happy with the work done, and the new horns are very loud, I'm almost looking for an excuse to use them. :augie
