Rear Fender Modifications

Is it just me, or have manufacturers (BWM especially) forgotten how to make proper fenders? I like the 650GS, but like my 12GS, it threw shyte over the shock and the back of my legs. Huggers and mud-slings haven't been developed yet, so I did my own modifications using a cutoff aftermarket motocross front fender, and some lexan.
First the rear part using lexan, then a few shots of the brackets made to hold the front part in place, then the m/x fender in place.

One more shot...

It isn't as muddy as the rest of the bike, yet, but it's still almost invisible, and works well.

Sadly just mortgaged the house with Nippy for similar off the peg items :blast

Thanks for those links, I guess I need to get out more.
Still, I'm not much of a hugger guy, and would prefer a "mudsling" type of solution. At this point, I'm no longer in the market for it, but is there any such product currently being produced?
