Rear Hub Question

Giving the Bike a good clean last night and I have noticed what appears to be small surface "lines", or "crack like indications" on the surface of the rear hub revolving cylinder, (the thing which is about 54mm dia and turns with the hub). Just wondered if anyone else has noticed these before I report to my Dealer and get the obligatory, "oh they all do that Sir".

a piccy would be helpful for the exact spot and to see the defect - but i do however assume you are taking about the hole and associated tubular shaft?
