REAR LIGHT

So! A got a "LAMP!" Warning triangle on the dash but the light is working?? Then discovered it was the brake light wasn't working so! Off I trots to shop bought a couple of new ones .. Lens cover off old bulb out new blub in thought ding dang do sorted! Err nope, still no brake light?? Took the bulb out turned it by 180' put it back in now the brake light is on constant with touching the brake hummm tried the other(new) bulb same thing??
I'm lost anyone got any ideas

Brake light switch failed?
Try the rear brake and see if that activates the brake light?

Take of the brake light cluster and you'll see how much a mess there is behind.

corroded rear lamp connections/contacts very common on the early bikes,remove the lamp assembly and all will be obvious
