Mine after 20.000 km.

Metal to metal friction and the result is:

And after some sandpaper work, seems much cleaner and spotless on surface.
Ordered a new set of rear pads. Will share the result soon.

The question is will the rotor do the job? No bending, or runout on it.
Thanks in advance.

If you run it like that, you'll probably wreck the new pads.

Can you not get the surface a bit smoother?

I'd replace the rotor if I were you, it will never be good again, I have experienced that, no matter what I did the pads wore like hell.....:blast

it MAY skim, but may not be cost effective unless you know someone

I ordered two sets of Lucas pads. One for the rear and one for the front. I used some sandpapers to make the rotor smoother and it's better now, or; least seeems so.

If you mean turning it on a machine, it's quite tough work as both sides of the rotor should be turned. A CNC machine with a skillful man mastering it can do it.

???
done dozens on a normal lathe, all are fine,,jus gotta be carefull
i usually use a lunsden surface grinder with a magnetic base instead though, easier to get a better finish

Thx for the precious info. But seems a bit risky, though. Will keep it in mind for further move.

Great idea. Thank you very much. I'm very sure you are able to do it like new but the postage would cost me as expensive as the new rotor as I live in Türkiye.
