My rear shock is leaking on my '59 plate GSadventure with 31k on the clock,
Been told by Bahnstormers at Maidenhead it's an MOT failure (which is due in 3 weeks! :blast)

Any advice/recomendations please on a replacement rear shock would be most grateful?

I would like to go for a Ohlins replacement, but would appreciate any pointers as to where to order from?

Can anyone suggest any other makes?

Thankyou in advance,
I could just type information into google, but would prefer input from fellow riders!

Cheers,
Andrew,

+1 on Fire fox racing. they will do a rebuild for about £160 including postage I think. they use better components so should end up with a better unit.

Cheers

Provided your bike is non ESA? then I have a stock one you can borrow to get you through the MOT or untill you have sorted yourself a replacement :thumby:

Thanks for the replies guys,

I'm waiting on a possible 'goodwill' gesture from BMW, but in the meantime i'll have a search round at your suggestions?

Cheers

The rear ESA shock was leaking on my GSA after 37000 miles and I have just had it returned from MCT suspension in Suffolk. The seals and oil were replaced and it was returned to me within a week and cost £118 which included postage and was slightly less than the BMW price of about £1300 although that did include fitting!

For your info it passed the MOT with flying colours at a main dealer with the leak.
