Hi All
Got a delivery mileage 1200 GSA Rallye from a BMW dealer in January, but in getting it ready to ride I have found an issue giving concern about the rear shocker.
When trying to fit an R&G shock tube today and twisting the tube to get the velcro to the face the right way I found the shock unit itself also turns complete with the resevoir. Have not tried to turn it any further to see if it stops, thought better twist it back the quarter turn & get advice. Any thoughts on this or has anyone had the same issue. concerned about riding it to the dealer, the nearest I trust is 60 miles.
Many thanks.

Just about every modern bikes is the same. My Ducati shock rotates even more then the bmw one. It’s simply because if you lock things up solid it stresses them as the chassis flexes so you let it float.
