Rear shock options

Ring Peter @ 087-2570855

"Says" he has two ohlins (front & back) sitting on his garage shelf for sale.

Deadly. I'll give him a bell as soon as I'm somewhere quieter. Patricks day and all that. Thanks!

Rasher, front and rear??? I thought the front didn't do much?

Apparently not, but the front Wilburs is a cheaper emulsion shock with "just" rebound damping, should still be a lot better than the OEM front

Ohlins fronts are also the cheaper emulsion jobbies, so it seems everyone is agreed they do not need to be of GP spec.

If you're not commited to a deal yet try this guy here in cork http://www.vmtek.ie/index.phphe's a wilbers agent and is sound to deal with.

I've just got a rear shock and front progressive springs from him, made to order 2 weeks. Give him a ring and he'll take it from there Paul is his name.

Cheers, but deposit placed and shocks on order.

I also wanted the ride-in / ride out experience with expert setup and MCT have come up trumps for me (and several friends) in the past.

Going for them.

Thanks jaws100. Did I
Meet you on a few greenlanes in cork last summer with daithi and others? I went with cracker and the electric monk.

Only problem is that the rear is for a standard gs. Talking to Clarence about that.

if you change your midn let me know, may be interested myself depending on price

I knew some secondhand ones would appear as soon as I ordered some new ones:blast

Bought. Going to get them sorted soon. Going to take a while to get it 'modified' but can't wait.

If this doesn't sort out my handling problems since getting hit by a car, I'm bringing it to finglas with a litre of petrol and a some matches:D

If I do, I'll sell the shocks first:D

Stuck it on anyway

after all this.......how does the bike feel???

I'll see tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Got the brass crush washers and the stock non abs non servo brake line junction. Delivered by a postman who rides a blade. I'll stick those on and give the rear caliper a good clean out too. Leaving original disc on. Work to do before I ride her. Maybe lunchtime!!

after all this.......how does the bike feel???

Wow. Changes the bike. Centre and Side stand now the wrong size. Bike v low!!!

Still pulling to the right. Xillob.

Based on the quality of some if the work done on the bike in a certain radio presenters namesake place, is it possible some numpty put the wrong amount if fork oil in? Could this throw it off slightly?

Really clutching at straws here. Bike defiantly feels better and with the correct suspension it'll be better but still this pesky pulling to the right business. Disappointed to say the least. It's very slight and was there before tbe bump by a car...think that killed my shock... Along with my live of riding over potholes.

I have a spare rear (standard gs) that will get you by. In Galway, could be heading towards Cork next week if you want to meet up halfway?

Just saw I've no pms. Must subscribe later.

Can I take you up On this offer?

Any chance a mod would remove my phone number? Made contact. Cheers. Btw, ill post a pix of the bike on the RT shock. She looks kinda kewl.
