Took my 10mnth old gs to nice dealer in Battersea for 6,000 service. I got a call later that day saying that rear shock was leaking and required replacement under warranty. At least 2 other new bikes with same failure. Its been sitting there 5 weeks and there is no news from bmw germany when warranty part is available. There is obviously an issue
This was her 4th trip back (fuel pump failed twice).
Finally spoke of Simon Anderson bmw uk customer services (1 week ago) said he would look into it and get back to me. Of course nothing has happened and not returning calls
Easter weekend will be long gone by the time I get her back and its beginning to seriously piss me off.
Qs:
Anyone else have this problem or experienced catalogue of failings on new 1200gs?
Have you any advise on how to get reparation from bmw uk for leaving me without joy so long..?
thanks

? I've got an A4 spreadsheet full of warranty work done on my 08 GS (including a replacement rear shock at 3,750m). Why do I keep my bike? Because my dealer has been great in sorting things out (Vines Guildford/South London Motorrad) and the bike is a pleasure to ride.
