So whilst cleaning my pride and joy this afternoon as it's total crappo weather out, I notice what is tyre valve on top of the shock on the left handside, surely I can't pump up the tyre from here can I (humour) but seriously what does it do ? Can I add air into the shock ? Why would I need to?

Ta muchly

Iain

Suggests the shock has been serviced at some point. Presuming it's not ESA?

I understand they're filled with nitrogen, but someone will have to correct it confirm me on that. But I mention it because I wouldn't recommend you do anything with it!

Its for refilling it with nitrogen following a rebuild or manufacture.

Yes they can be rebuilt. Contra to what your local dealer will tell you.
