I ride my F800GS off road a lot. Last week i was playing in byways and hit a small bump at speed (20 mph) and felt the rear shock bottom out. First time i ever flelt this despite riding around Morocco off road for a month.
On the way home i noticed the steering was a little light, but dismissed it quickly because it was so slight and the tyres were muddy.
THEN... when i got home, i noticed that i had both feet flat on the ground. I can't ever remember being able to do this. In fact, i can remember not being able to put both feet flat on the ground. I am 5' 8" tall.
The handling seems fine. They tyres are very warn TKC 80's.
I put 20 turns on the pre-loader, but it makes no difference.
How can i tell if my suspension is still good?
Any thoughts?
Rgrds,
Steve.
