I went to adjust the damping on my 2004GS yesterday and the adjusting screw just spun round in either direction and made no difference to the damping qualities of the bike. This is my second rear unit and now I'm in a bit of a panic as I'm off to Germany in a fortnight and I need reasurrance that the shock will be able to cope with the weight of the gear the wife wants to take.

I have the original rear unit and I would like to get it rebuilt so if anyone knows of a suspension specialist within 50-60 miles of Bristol who could repair it for me I'd be grateful for the contact details.
Thanks
