Hi Guys
Can some one tell me (or post a pic) what way the rear shock mount bolts goes though as the work shop manual riders manaul and TEC CD show different ways. there is a recess on the left side that.

The bike is a R1200 GS 2007

Cheers
Peter

It depends how old your bike is, the early 2004-2007 bikes had the bolt going one way, the later 2007 onwards bikes had a different top bolt going into a different recessed hole with a different top mount on the shock absorber and frame respectively. When I sold my 2004 Wilbers shocks to an owner of a later bike, he found they wouldn't fit.

Yep..that was me...he's right. By the way Puckmeister...it was great to chat that day at Bahnstormers how's it going? Revs took them at a trade in and I got a new set.....bloomin' fantastic.

Same old same old mate, life hasn't changed much since we last met. Still working hard and playing less hard than I'd like, only one bike trip this year. Glad you got your shocks sorted through Revs, John Gaskell is a top bloke. Hope to bump into you again soon, nice biking weather will soon be back once the winter chill finishes, got a feeling that next summer will be a goon 'un.

Hopefully not off-topic

Seeing as most posters on this thread are pretty local does anyone know a company who can rebuild ESA shocks that aren't based in Yorkshire?

thanks

Hi

It is a sept 07 and as i have said it has a recess on the left hand side and the bolt does fit into it so i am thinking that I have it in the right way just having a little brain fade and the more I look at Tec dd and manuals its all different.
