Rear wheel fitting gadget !! Ready at last !

Hope he doesn't get confused and send it to Ben Dover instead......!!
Mike

For the record
My grandfather was Mo, his sister was Flo, my uncle was Stan, my ex is Carrie, my late dog was Harry and we considered Wanda and Keil for the kids. And to cap it all I have an Aunt called Eileen!

And all you could come up with was 'Ben'. How original :ymca

Genius, thank you on two points:

1. It will be soooo much easier to replace the wheel
2. Showing me I am not alone in finding this to be a real :forry :eh :anger of a job

The old ones are always the best - bet you need to be careful when drunk!! :D

Ran out of the first batch on Tuesday but had some space on the lathe late yesterday and my man managed to run off another batch, so all those ordered yesterday are on the way to you ( should be there tomorrow or Saturday with luck :) )

Ok time for my dumb-question-of-the-day: Will these work on an F800GS?

Does not the F8 have a 'normal swing arm and wheel spindle set up ?
prety sure it does, in which case this little gadget will not be a lot of help I am afraid

Just bought one but forgot to mention my Tosser's name - but as I live just down the road from you I'm sure you'll give me a 'Suffolk' discount for this forgetfullness.

I know where those voices come from.. they are the wind blowing through the old Cambells Soup factory ! :D

Is it just me or does anyone else find they're wheel fitting widget too long at 115mm.

I've screwed it into the bolt hole at the 12'oclock position, hung the spacer shim onto it and offered the wheel up but the wheel won't pass between the exhaust and the end of the gadget or more accurately the angle at which it needs to lean is too steep to pass the wheel over the widget.

By my reckoning it needs to be a good 30mm shorter. :nenau:nenau Seems a shame to just hack the end of this as it's a nicely made bit of kit.

Weird ! Worked ok on number one sons but I have learned a long time ago that BMW's tend to vary from bike to bike !!!!

Anyone got this issue and want one made, say, 35mm shorter, send em back and it shall be done :)
