When I bought mine I got them through Every Accessory. I think they are the only authorised UK dealer. Also I think they give 10% discount for this site.

When ordering they ask you for specific weights. Your weight, if you carry a pillion, luggage and how often you carry it etc and then build to your specs.

To be honest I can't say if they are great or not as I didn't really feel much difference on the GSA besides the fact that they were 2cm lower. I probably did less than a 1000 miles before I sold the GSA and the shocks. A lot of prople rate them highly though.

difficult choice mate, but they would have been my choice had i not gone the hyperpro route

Aye.. not may of us will be able to directly compare one make with another. Not many will have had Ohlins and then swapped for Wilbers or WP or whatever. For me the biggest factor was price and the fact a group buy was organised on this site at just the right time - money wise.

Had that group buy been for another make then I would just as likely have gone for them I wasn't hell bent on getting Wilbers over any other brand.

I like the fact they were built to order. the quality appeared 'out of the box' to be spot on. They were ready to fit with no further set-up required.. in fact I've hardly touched them since day one

At some point I'll have the originals refurbed and keep them as 'spares' for when the Wilbers get taken down to Halesowen for a refurb... not something I can see happening any day soon, mind.

Have them on my 1150, mounted in the same place as motobiker. I noticed quite a difference - firstly as the originals were shot and secondly as I had increased the ride height and load capacity through a custom build. How they compare to others I have no idea, but I have had them on for about 20K and they have been as good a gold. Quality was good and price was not excessive. What more could I want?

I've been very happy with the Wilbers on my 1100. I had the originals on for a few years but eventually they got tired and needed replacing. I got the Wilbers built to my weight and settings and they have been spot on.

They coped perfectly during my 10,000 mile trip to Calum's Road and back despite being loaded up with Metal Mule panniers etc. Even landing from off-road jumps didn't cause any problems and they never bottomed out. Ride was comfortable enough for 700+ mile days on all sorts of roads.

Can't recommend them highly enough and you know I'm a hard man to please.

Don't forget that to maintain the Warranty the shocks have to be Serviced after 2 years at a cost of about £78 per shock.

The warranty is for 2 years OR 20,000Kms !!

I've already passed that I believe.. and its not something I'm going to lose any sleep over.

2 years or 12,500 miles seems to me rather 'short'.. (in fact its ridiculous) mine will come off as and when its felt to be necessary. Not before.

They are very good shocks though...

I lashed out the extra for the fully adjustable ones for my 1100 (compression as well as rebound on the rear). A couple of clicks makes a big difference.

I agree with comments posted, the Wilbers shocks are very good, i too have had them on my 1100 for 3 years and have continued to be impressed with them. I didn't get them serviced after 2 years as couldn't have the down time on the bike as i use it to commute. Apart from flaking paint on the rear shock (due to my tardy cleaning routine!) the've been brilliant, transformed the handling.
