Recall on 1190

I got back from Valencia today and the letter about the recall was waiting for me. I'll give my local dealer a call and get to booked in because it's due a service and I might as well kill 2 birds with one stone.

I got my letter a few days ago and have done chuff all about it. My original thinking was "I can't be arsed riding to the dealer and will wait until my spring service". But that attitude was making me paranoid that my bike would either a) spontaneously combust in the shed, or b) kill me on my next ride when the brakes fail as I'm entering a 140mph knee-down hairpin corner. So, I'm going to fix the problem myself (with the help of the notes and advice here and on the KTM forum). Wish me luck - with my mechanical knowledge I'll probably end up cable tying myself to the exhaust and give myself 3rd degree ball-bag burns.

Just checked mine... the harness was rubbing against the corner of the ABS unit to the point that the unit has a noticeable polished appearance at its very edge. Fortunately no visible damage to the loom and all now sorted with a few zip ties.

Just did mine - as others have said it's a 10 minute job.

Mine was just about touching but no damage. Two cable ties and jobs a good un :thumb
