rechip bmw 1150's

So - as I don't understand this argument between Roger and John...

Have those people who have bought this found an improvement?

I have 2005 R1150 GSA and am very interested....
Yes: a significant improvement. Totally transformed my bike (’02 1150R) and I can thoroughly the chip.

Hi fitted last September probably 4k miles added believe it is a stage 3 chip John is just sending me upgrade to stage 5, existing chip works very well and transformed bike far wider rev range through gears lots of low down torque without having to change down, new chip is further improved in terms of BHP and Fuel efficiency looking forward to fitting hopefully before I go to Le Mans on 12th June.

Hi Jeremy. This update chip will be great, gives the most improvement results to R1150. Has mods air temp maps and resolve the poor and hardly function of engine when is very hot. Also has the faster timing advance by using 95 octane petrols without correction after long term trim ( i found the final correction timing advance maps (after 30-40 miles).
I made this chip with a little helping of a friend who works on racing old car's used motronic MA 2.4 ECU. Also resolve the "hole" of performance at 4.500 rpms and gives huge power at high revs until red line (8.100).

Let us know about consumption please :jager

We are waiting for new results :thumb2

John, The results many of us are waiting for are the realtime logs you're going to take with your LC-1, LC-2. It would be great to get something concrete now that you have the tools, and make a nice addition to the I-like-my-chip testimonials. (Remember my offer, as soon as you can show that your chips alter closed loop lambda, which they didn't last time I tried, I'll make another test.)

How about some photos too of which bike you're installing it on and where you're welding in the extra bung?

You should then make some logs like these (below) from lambda-shifting experiments to show different phases of testing what your chips actually do to fueling:

Hi Roger. I will post soon about AFR at close loop. The stage 6 chip can shift the lambda to 13,8-14,2:1 at close loop. It is very simple by some mods on lambda and air temp maps.

Fitted new stage 6 chip in place of stage 4 don't know what to say it has transformed bike, even smoother and even more responsive fantastic :rocketwho:rocketwho:

You keep saying that but no one has seen it. Post the riding log, and send me a copy and I'll try a modded chip again to confirm it after you do. :beerjug:

Well I've got a stage 6. My friend has a 5 and we both happy and never seen any maps or proof other that sticking it in and riding it and feeling the difference.

I've got a stage 4 been fitted for 9 months, really happy with the extra oomph it gives the old gal. If the stage 6 is an improvement I might purchase one.

I agree. Don't care what anyone else says Johns chip certainly improves the performance of the old gal, 103000 miles on clock and the best it's ever run. Really worthwhile mod.

Think John should sort a discount out for those upgrading

Yes !!

I can send the update stage 6 to all friends who have the old stage 4 and 5 (needed only the cost of shipping).
The stage 6 has mod at air temp maps so the engine runs little more richer at all revs (at all temps) that help at hot climate (summer) and at long riding. Also i made mods at last maps timing advance correction, so the power will be for all the time, no adapt, no correction after long term trim.

Please pm me :)
