What was the outside temperature?

Not that cold but it was a very clear sky and PW camping near me was saying he was freezing in the night with a fleece etc on in his tent. I just had a T-shirt on and I normally feel the cold.

Inidcated temperatures on sleeping bags are ..er.. 'variable' in accuracy in my experience.

If you're going to the Hugmoist or the BMF have a word with Les from TravelDri who actually lets you try before you buy.

Exped is the way forward I reckon... :)

I`ve put my money where my mouth is & bought a new bag, a Snugpak Softie elite 3 :thumb2 Its got an elasticated zip baffle attached that can be zipped in to closed the bag up tighter or zipped out to make the bag wider for a bit more elbow room. Comfy at -5 or so it says :nenau

looking forward to trying it out :D

I spoke to Les at TravelDri Plus this week and he said that they only have a few Nanok sleeping bags available. The UK importer no longer brings them over, so he is looking for a suitable replacement.

So if you want a Nanok sleeping bag, get in there soon. They are very good bags:thumb

Size

I see some of you have gone for these what size do these compress down to?

Snugpak Softie elite 3 or the Harrier

If i remember correctly these are the same as the military bags, is my memory correct?

Thanks

Stu

My snugpak is the military one & it supposedly folds down to 21 cms by 19 cms

But after packing mine & measuring it in it`s own stuffsac its 26 cm by 22cms although it can pack down further in another stuffsac
