Am having a few issues at work (don't want to go into them) but can anybody recommend any employment lawyers?

Sounds bad, have you got a HR department to seek advice.?

They are there to support the company and not the person
Not like they used to be I'm afraid.
They have to advise you the correct procedure to mediation or other issues, any deviation from the HR law guidlines will put the employer/ bosses at a disadvantage.
My wife is a HR manager and this question of us and them always creeps up.
HR are there to advise managers and employees alike as to correct procedure in disputes..use them it's free. Depending on the outcome, you can then seek advise. Usually dosen't get to tribunial though if process has been correctly adhered to by both sides.
Process faliure to suite the bosses, then by all means get professionals involved.
I'd respectfully disagree. Where I work (and in previous recent employers where I've headed up HR depts), I've always been very clear that we're there to support the business, not the employees. We'll provide procedural advice where the two coincide, but that's about it. Not like the old Personnel depts. And I say that with no sense of shame, either - it isn't a secret.
check out the union.

Call the acas helpline, I did back in the summer and the lady on the phone was really helpful and spent 30+ minutes talking over things.
