Recommend me a battery

2006 Twin cam Streetbob stage 2 1690cc, battery has been getting sluggish lately despite being on the trickle, will fire up when fully charged but this seems to instantly flatten it and it won't start again until fully recharged so I'm beat if on a short run. checked bike charging system and all ok so guess Duff battery not holding charge. So what's the best aftermarket battery for a big twin, do not want to pay HD prices (£170-200) depending where you look.

There seems to be a lot of interest in lithium batteries at the moment. Lighter stronger and don't seem to loose charge over time. Oh and they take up less space. JJH

I put a motobatt on mine this year, after fitting one to my 1100 GS, so far so good, even a good battery was flat after two weeks on the Harley because of all the alarm and shit.....Not this one, good as gold I reckon.

I posted a similar request regarding my TC GSA a few weeks ago. Motobatt came out on top of those suggested then. How relevant that is to your request I'll leave wiser people than me to let you (and me) know.

The OEM one on my Victory was a rebadged Yuasa, it was also the only one with the correct 270 CCA (cold cranking amps) so I bought an un badged one via eBay for £78; works a treat.

Looked at Yuasa and motobatt based on the above, Yuasa has 320CCA verses Motobatt 310CCA, will come down to price and postage costs for final decision, thanks for your input.
