Tayna is an excellent company to deal with and they have a range of options. I bought an Exide AGM battery for my S1000XR as it is a decent brand in the middle of the price range.
I'd be interested to know how old your XR was when it needed a replacement battery?
Was it kept on a Optimate or similar?
Thanks
I bought the 2016 bike in 2018. I assumed the battery was the original as it was one of BMW's Made in Brazil jobs. Replaced around the bike's 4th birthday last spring. The battery was only put on an Optimate 4 if it needed it, which was only a couple of times during winter.
The battery on my R1200RS is now 4.5 years old. Again, only charged in winter if it is low which has been even rarer than the XR as it is normally used more in winter.

Me too. Big weight saving.I’d recommend lithium. JJH
Stick with a replacement OEM, I tried two to the Moto Batt ones, thought the first was a just a duff one but the second one was no better, laster less than a year each, complete waste of money imho. Both now back in their boxes in the shed, waiting for a trip to the local tip. (If anyone wants them they are welcome to have them for free if collect or just P&P if posted).are those yellow "moto batt" ones any better? do they last longer?
