I have the BMW city 2 trousers which down to about 10c are great. However I want something a bit lighter to go with it for when the temperature gets a bit hotter. My Olympia AST2 and Ranger 3 are excellent, I just want something a bit bullet proof for summer.

So the question is Leather, or textile for a Jacket? any suggestions?

I have a Joe Rocket mesh jacket which is great above 15c with the solid panel zipped in, and brill above 25 with just the mesh.

Many firms do them now...

As above - Joe Rocket.

Or - If you can get an Alpinestars "Alstars" jacket - they are good.

The Alstars might only be available S/H on Ebay, but I'm sure there will be a replacement model.

Try J&S Accessories.

I am waiting for it to be hot enough to wear my new BMW Airshell jacket. The BMW Airflow is made from an even stronger textile.

The Jofamo 2012 catalogue / Range contains a very good Lindstrands Jacket, this has zip out panels leaving it a mesh jacket, has the CE armour all over and is up to their usual top notch standard. Just can't remember the name of it.

I looked at one at the weekend, sorely tempted.

You could try the new BMW Tourshell jacket. Has a removable inner lining which is easy to remove when it get warmer and then has numerous vents which can be opened to keep cool insummer. Also has full protection to back/shoulders/elbows. So far impressed with mine.

Peter the new tourshell is high on the list, but I am liking the look of the Joe rocket, and for the money it looks tempting as well..

I bought a BMW Boulder 2 jacket a couple of weeks ago when summer was here, and it was great.:D Really comfortable, good armour and I was able to wear my Forcefield back protector underneath.:thumb

Airshell

I bought the BMW Airshell high viz jacket a week ago, I took my forcefield jacket along to make sure I got the right size. Work has stopped me getting out to give it a jolly good test yet.

I asked the dealer if it would handle rain and 'chilly mornings/days'. I was told that several riders who have these jackets wear these most of the time as the inner liner is thermal and waterproof.

Dont get me wrong I am not that naive to believe everything I am told and the truth be known I had made my mind up I was going to buy one anyway.

I must admit the jacket feels a quality garment and the fit is excellent with the armour in all the right places.

Have any forum members worn these in more inclement weather conditions, if so what is the score ?

Thanks
