Anyone have the larger Yamaha screen or other alternatives to recommend?

Trying out an old Touratech screen extender which works of a sorts (1200 GSA version)

I've got an MRA touring screen kicking around with the long extending arms for the top deflector...it's actually too high for me and I reverted to the older MRA screen which came with the bike (pretty much the same screen with shorter deflector arms). You're welcome to borrow/ try it if you're passing by (Whitchurch, Shropshire...not far out of your way if you ever head to North Wales).

I really rate the Givi Airflow, to to fit it to the 2014 on bikes, you have to remove the screen adjuster bracket and add a couple of spacer brackets which is exactly what I've done. It sounds far more complicated than it is. I'm 5ft 11 and can ride all day with my visor up if I so wish with virtually no noise and no buffeting.

We live very close to each other, so if you want to look post an email address or a mobile and I'll get back to you.

Mike

Cheers for that Johno

Re GS, been there done that (few times) although never say never :D

Got to say though, really enjoying the S10 so far :thumb2

Good to hear:thumb

Givi must have an S10 version of the airflow, not sure if you had one on the GS but it makes a huge difference.
That's the way to go.

I liked the Yam accessory Touring screen on my old S10, don't know if they did an updated version for the later '14? on . The winglets also made a big difference.

Winglets huge improvement then fit the Yamaha touring screen, set at mid position three figure speeds visor fully open all day and I am 6'1".
And the Yamaha screen is only £130 ish with a bit of discount looks correct for the bike instead of adapted for it.

Givi Airflow on mine, looks a bit ugly, but I think form is following function as it works very well.

I have the airflow on mine also, absolutely hideous but does the job better than a maddstad bracket and standard screen I think, but others think maddstad and standard is fine.

Zed; could you do me a favour and measure the hight and width of your Yamaha Touring screen so I can compare to the standard one? Cheers

I can only comment about GS screens but basic aerodynamics can't be *that* different.
GSA turbulence
GSA with Tobinators better but still bashed my head about
With TT spoiler small sweet spot but visor mists in cold & wet weather.
Givi AF330 much reduced turbulence.
Givi AF330 with Tobinators better still. Turbulence is bad when it's moved up towards vertical
Much better with main mounts on low and front raised on Tobinators
Winglets reduce flutter under arms but have no effect on head turbulence.
To give an idea of my head height above seat I'm 5'8" and use a standard GS seat on low.
If Givi make a 330 for the S10 then buy it. If not try to find a way to make brackets for a GS 330.

Will do that tonight for you Melly

I know 2 others on here who decided on the Yamaha Adv screen both very happy and both have also fitted the winglets
