Recommend me a higher screen for Yamaha S10

Melly
My screen dimensions 19" at widest point 21" tallest point 16.5" wide mid way up the top section.

What I like most about the Givi is the easy adjustment from total wind block right over my head, to allowing a good airflow to face in hot weather.

I also take the upper part off on really hot days, at home I leave it in the garage, and if on holiday I can leave it in the Hotel room and then it is almost like riding without a screen at all, ideal for hot days on Alpine roads, or exploring local back lanes and single track roads where I do not need motorway wind blast protection.

Screen update

Right, update on my screen search..

Had an offer from one of our very own through a pm to sell his Yamaha tall screen at reasonable price (secondhand but like new) and after fitting it very pleased, set on middle with seat on low position, allowing riding with visor up and looks good. Not yet gone down winglet avenue yet, just playing with it first :thumb2

High screen (photo has it on high setting):

Now; to complicate matters i've also purchased a seconhand Givi Airflow for £45 of ebay (great price) with the intention of trying them back to back over early summer and off load the one I least like!!! Only thing is, it won't fit or at least I can't figure out how to

Also, fitted centre stand, fog lights and mirror extenders (made a huge difference to rear visability) and done a seat modification from super tenere site to level the seat slightly (only minor modifacation but big difference as now not sliding forward)

600 mile service done, very happy from day one and getting happier with it as sorting for me :D

have been doing a bit of research myself on screens, noted that Powerbronze have a bit of a sale on (tall screens £75) and also do huggers and other bits

Slipsscreens (via Ebay) very good on price (got cockpit side deflectors for £40), they have tall screens for £55 but not yet for the latest S10 (they told me they are working on it)

some good options if money is tight!

Where did you get mirror extenders from?

Givi AirFlow screen on a 2014+ Bike

The screen will fit but you have to remove all the screen adjustment bracketry which means you lose the sat nav bar which I see you are using.

Once the bracket is removed the bike has the same attachment points as a pre 14 bike although you will need a couple of spacers for the upper bolts.

A bit of a hassle but I thinks it's worth it. Having said that I've not tried the Yam touring screen.

Good quality, easy to fit and now can see behind without even elbows in view. I've only done ride round the block to test and seem fine, but will be doing much more mileage over weekend if you want me to report back afterwards?

Cheers Mike

I may try that out, although happy with the high screen it would be good to compare over a period of time and it didn't cost that much to buy! It would be good to have a look at yours sometime as we don't live so far away. Either meet up on the road for a coffee or i'm happy to pop over to Burnley :thumb2

Very happy to meet up, or you can travel to Burnley if you wish.

I'm leaving on Friday 8 May riding the S10 down to Greece with Global Tours of your parish, returning May 25.

I've sent you a pm on the Super Tenere site!

Best wishes

Mike

Hi nig5

been out on bike with the mirror extenders and they are superb; complete vison behind with no elbows and tried over variety of roads at various speeds, including motorway at 85 and rock solid with no blurring - well worth the money :thumb2

Cheers for that will order a set, stupid question but just to be safe am I right in believing the left mirror has a right hand thread and the right mirror a left hand thread?
