Recommend me a tablet, please.

Got a Samsung 8 incher.
It does everything a tablet is supposed to do.
They generally do.
Not into cults so I am not attracted to Apple.

I use a Samsung 8" device which is very good - unlike iPads you can add additional memory very cheaply in the form of a micro SD card. Very handy if, like me, you like loads of offline maps on your device.

Take a look too at this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B016BB8V84/ref=psdc_429892031_t2_B014D847FS Lenovo Miix 300 10 inch Tablet - Black which is astonishing value at £120. It runs Windows 10, and can be used as a laptop (with the keyboard attached) or remove the keyboard and use it as a touch screen 10" tablet. I bought one to take away on trips as it will run Basecamp, and again you can add lots of extra memory with a micro SD card. The Windows app 'shop' doesn't have the same range of apps as the Apple or Android stores but TBH 90% of apps for Apple and Android devices are crap and designed solely to hoover up your personal details and contacts lists. For web browsing, email, Office-type functions, weather forecasts etc the Windows device is fine, and probably the best if you want to work with MS Office.

IMHO Windows 10 is not tablet (finger) friendly.
Apple Store is IMHO more secure
All round more user friendly and nicer.

Costs more, but just nicer.

All IMHO of course, nothing to do with my working in IT since the late 1980s

iPad every time, you will never regret it, imo everything is better and I have had both, would not go back to Android.

ooo - runs basecamp? I think I might go for one off those .

Hate to be a syncophant but Ipad all day long. My daughter has a Samsung, not as slick, even clunky compared to the I pad. As Micky says everything works, end of , no silly error messages.
Just bought a wireless printer for home. Windows pc couldnt see it then needed a pin . Ipad straight on no installing any software.

Yes, Basecamp runs with no problems. I bought mine on Amazon but for some reason the link has been hijacked and changed by the UKGSer site to point to Ebay.

I have three iPads, iPad Pro (big) for work, iPad mini for home, but it's getting tired and a brand new iPad Pro (small).

I have almost given up my laptop.

My humble recommendation is iPad, go to a shop and play to get the best size.
