Compressor.
I was going to go for a 12v tyre inflator but my experience of them is not too happy so I was thinking about a little 240v compressor for home use instead.
Does anyone have any recommendations or advice? :nenau

TIA. :beerjug:

Get one with an air receiver, the nail gun type are crap.

Something like this...

Machine mart do 'no VAT' days and a set of tools etc is £20 from Argos with quick releases on all the tools.

Don't do what I did and buy an expensive inflator that has a sold pipe that won't go on a bike valve:blast

I have a tame compressed air supplier/ installer.
He was only talking about something they sell just the other day.
Will check it out for you.

Good advice.

I have an SIP version with a 25 litre receiver. Not very big but perfectly adequate for blowing up bike tyres/car tyres but struggles with the ones on the Defender! They are all much of a muchness but go for a known make.
Once you've got one there are so many uses. Just remember if you use it for blowing muck out of stuff with small parts inside like carbs, and electronic gubbins etc., put them in a bag first then blow them out. Stops the internals from shooting off into the wild blue yonder:blast.

Strange use, no1. Blowing out the fridge drain when the un-named person bungs it up with spilt double cream!

No2. making farty noises with short lenghts of Bicycle inner tube to annoy the dog!

Fluff.

Don't tell me I've got to get a dog as well?
Christ, it's a bloody minefield!

Maybe this might work :nenau............. on Halford's website?

weve just sent some to landfill ex demo stock and loads of tools with them to:blast no kite / eu safety marks but they will have later in the year:mmmm

Story of my life! :blast

Yeah, and to go public with the information to ! It's a disgrace :D

Dog is optional but good company. Best to make friends with next door's and borrow it when the need arises. Then give the b*ugger back. We've got three. Bit of a tie when I want to go out for the day. Can't quite get a 6 stone Boxer, a Collie and a Spaniel on the GSA. Desides they bark at everything that moves and jump about!

Will it fit in the panniers though? :augie :ymca

I have the machine mark Tiger 45, used it when building the extension a few points

Don't go for a Oil free one there noisy and not as good at continual use as the Oil filled ones
A 25 Litre resevoir is a bit small but will manage most jobs but would struggle with spary painting unless it's small parts your painting if you have the space go 50litre
Most will be rated for 8bar which will be fine, the 10bar one's are quite a jump in price
Wolf used to do one that was vertical so saved a lot of space but it was Oil free ?
keep an eye on B&Q they do one from time to time rated to 10bar 50liter capacity twin outlets very well priced

these are just obversations from using mine
