Recommend me an ......

External Hard Drive.

We have a 6 month old PC which the hard drive has just self destructed on

Some of the work on it was backed up, some wasn't

Can anyone recommend me a decent external hard drive that would do for a small business and a degree of personal stuff as well??

IME they all break in the end. All of them. Not the drives, you can usually rescue them with another enclosure, but the electronics in the original enclosures have always been poor from my experience.

Currently got 4 samsung story stations, which seem to doing ok (at the moment). I like samsung HDDs.

We've been pretty happy with our 500Gb "My Book" from Western Digital. They've grown up a bit since we bought ours and now come in 1Tb, 2Tb and 3Tb.
