So what sturdy but sleek hand guards and heated grips will fit on this machine?

For heated grips, try these or even these

Both are good solutions and allow you to use the grips of your choice instead of the bulky grips with built in elements.

As far as hand guards are concerned, I have a brand new set of hand guards for a Suzuki DL if you are interested :thumb

Those first heaters look good but I bet they are a bit pricey?

Handguards, I'm a bit dim on these as I've never had to buy a set. I'm thinking of the wrap around type (if thats what they are called) that attach at both ends but quite slim. You'll note the bike has no bar ends and I need to keep the bars close to the current size due to a narrow path which it only just goes down.

What do you need to consider when choosing guards?

Heated Grips

So there are Motrax things at £40 or Oxford ones at £70 generally available.

Any experiences?

I use OXFORD heated grips on my ZZR600. Absolutley brilliant bit of kit. YES, they are a tiny bit thicker than standard grips, but you soon get used to it...

I'd have probably bought a set from HG yesterday but the control looked a bit big and fiddly. I see though that there is a new type out?

I'm looking for some suitable hand gaurds at the momment so it might make sense to get those first. Wouldn't have thought one will get in the way of the other but for mounting of any control etc on the bars.

got oxford ones on me airhead and they are pretty good, even the adjustment to temp is good.

SYMTEK

JUST FITTED MY 2ND SET OF SYMTEK'S . THE LAST SET I HAD FITTED TO A KTM950 ( HAD THEM FOR 3 YEARS , THE MAIN ATTRACTION WAS THAT YOU WOULDNT KNOW THEY WERE THERE.
