Recommendation for an independent bmw specialist nr Newbury

I have a surging issue on my 2005 R1200GS that I've been unable to diagnose. Before I book it in to BMW Oxford can anyone recommend any independent in the area?

Don't think there's anyone local, really, there's Steptoe but he's darn London way, and I think someone around Herts.
