Need cover between Dublin and the Alps. Preferably suggestions for a service that was tested and worked, not a cheap one you didn't call on;)

Try posting in a general section?

You Oirish seem very wary of venturing out of the local section........... :aidan

Have a look at NCI, AA Europe?

We're just all really shy and retiring types. Hardly ever go out and when we do we sit quietly in the corner :aidan

If the bike's still in warranty - the BMW assist should cover it nicely.

If out of warranty - It's an expensive way of just covering a European jaunt.

(Make sure your servicing is up to date/correctly scheduled for that)

If you are insured with Carole Nash you get European breakdown cover. I have used them in Ireland and they were excellent.

Be wary of advice from the U.K. If you live in Ireland, it is a totally different market and the products could be vastly different.

Same as that. Haven't used them abroad but I'm happy enough with the response here so reckon it'd be alright on the continent too.

Hence the post in the Irish section.

With Liberty so that won't work.

If you are not covered with your insurance policy go with AA you can book it with the ferry booking.

Also check out your own holiday insurance standard policies differ and some do not cover motorcycling holidays classing them as a dangerous activity.

carol nash do what they say on the tin
twice i had to be recovered from france once with carol nash and had no problems quick and easy.
but the second time i used bmw warenty never again battle every step of the way and took five weeks before bike was home and i wont even go into the condition it came back in as it took another three months to get it all sorted out,
