Recommendations for warm & waterproof gloves

HG's 'Lobster claw' gloves. They take about a mile or two to get used to and you look like a twot but who cares.

Cheap and they work well.

I haven't tried them on the GS yet but they are the first gloves I've tried that have been genuinely waterproof. I'm astonished that the gloves pictured keep the water out when there appear to be a million seams and edges to seal up.

Yes but there aren't millions of seams and edges in the waterproof membrane twixt the leather and armour outer and the thermal lining.

It's always struck me as bizarre that many motorcycle gloves designed for use in the season of the year during which you are, arguably, most likely to come off, have no crash protection whatsoever. I suspect that most of these lobster things have about as much impact protection as a wet brown paper bag.
