SWMBO is working in the big smoke for a few weeks and I've recently volunteered for redundancy
, so I may as well nip down there for a few days free accommodation, as a break from seeking a career change
Ain't been to Lahndahn for years. At the risk of sounding like a total hick wandering round with straw hanging out my gob, I always liked the 'vibe' and just wandering about, but what should I be sure to take in (cheaper the better) ?
Off the top of my head, I fancy:
the Da Vinci exhibition thing that's only around til February;
the V&A;
British Museum;
British Library;
That big wheel thing (wossit called again?) - anyone know where I can get cheap tickets ?
What's the number of that normal bus service (possibly a circular route?) that used to go past tons of the major sights, maybe in he Routemaster buses - I'm sure I read there was a plan to axe it but there was also a fight to save it - not sure if it succeeded or not
I like to think I'm fairly broad minded in the culinary stakes, but I am not eating jellied eels under any circumstances
