i am sure this topic has been covered many times so please feel free to direct me to other posts but I picked up my 2013 GS LC today (love it by the way) and wonder what members recommend for a more protective screen. I am 6' 3" and have the seat set high. I like wind protection especially around the head but also like to be able to see over the screen most of the time, scutching down if I need a bit of total protection. I can't do with 'adaptation' so a straight fit replacement would be great for me.

Any suggestions out there?

Thanks.

The Givi one is good. I am 6' and never had it in the raised position as it wasn't necessary. Depends where you are I guess but I have one sitting in my garage you are welcome to try.

Thanks for the kind offer. I'm in South Yorkshire or Cornwall normally. Will look at the Givi.

Thanks for the tip mcilb that's one person's review. I was rather hoping for more views but never mind.

Hi .i am 6ft 1 and got a screen from nippy normans and works fine on the bike for me .you can see over screen an ride with visor up if you need to . george

I'm 6ft 1, have the seat on high and fitted a Puig touring screen. It's an improvement over standard and the only downside I've found is the reduced cooling flow on hot days.

I agree with this 100%. It's a fair improvement from the standard screen. Glad I bought this for the longer journeys. But on the slower journeys etc on a hot day, the lack of wind hitting you fairly makes you sweat!!
