Recommended Workshop Manual for 2008 1200Gs?

I got one of these for my RT. I find it very good. Not sure if they are original or copies of the workshop manual, but when you input your VIN number it brings up your bikes' details. You can print off the relevant pages and diagrams of what you are working on.
Someone previously mentioned that there may be viruses on these DVD's but I have had no problems.

As far as service manuals I prefer the Haines. The index system I find easier to follow than the Clymer. The Clymer has better/ different diagrams but some of the terms are very American, whilst the Haines is easier to understand.

Hope this helps, regards...

I bought a Haynes manual for my twin cam and I'm not too impressed with it. It would be useful for full stripdowns of engine, suspension etc but for individual jobs like, say, replacing the alternator it's not wonderful. I can't comment on the other manuals.

Have Clymers done one for 1200's?

Cheers Gorila. Might be worth a pop then. Thanks for your help. I enquired about a genuine BMW one but they wanted £74 for it! Eek!! Haha.
Will get one ordered and see how it goes but by the sound of it, might end up with a couple of manuals as well ;)
Cheers,
Steve

Have Clymers done one for 1200's?

Good call davegs.
It appears they don't :(
They have one for the 1150Gs but not the 12.
Well that has sorted that option out then ;)
What is that old saying?
To Assume is to make and "Ass" of "u" and "me" :)
Thanx mate :)
