People across Greater Manchester may be able to catch a glimpse of the Red Arrows today.
The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team will be spotted in the sky on Friday afternoon as they make their way from their base at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire to Blackpool Airport
And the route they are taking means the flight plan goes over a large part of the region - giving people on the ground a chance to glimpse the distinctive red Hawk trainer jets.
After taking off at 4pm the Red Arrows will fly towards the Peak District and from Glossop towards Oldham. The jets will then fly over Denshaw, Newhey, south of Rochdale town centre, Heywood, Bury town centre, Harwood, north of Bolton town centre, Smithy Bridge, Horwich, Blackrod, Worthington, Standish, Shevington and Parbold before turning towards Skelmersdale and on to Liverpool.
