Any recommendations for some black reflective tape to go on black panniers?
As a safety issue at night but being black not visible in the day in a black panniers.

Recently applied. Reflects well. Can't comment on durability yet...

The issue is, you are not supposed to reflect white on the rear, so if the tape is black it will reflect white, on the rear, it should only be red or if yellow, show up in lights, but not project white light.

These look good. Can be had in a roll of variable widths too. May give them a try.

Good point. My plan was to put on the side with white and rear with reflecting red.

Do they even make a black sticker/tape that reflects red ?
I know black the white is available, but is black to red?

I've looked everywhere for it. Can only find white reflective.

We did the Jeep logo in black reflective, it's actually silver/grey not white when lit up (a mute point I'm sure). It's not that bright, does anyone remember the 90's BT piper logo, that was reflective but I can't recall if it was ever on the back of a van. I came across one parked sideways in the middle of a road on a road rally one night, 300w of daylighters lit that up.
I'll see if I've got a picture taken at night
I'm slightly confused that you'd only want bright markings at night, surely it's just as important during the day. A thin line of conspicuity tape works wonders at the right angle.

I've done something similar on my panniers (conforming to rules Casbar sets out above) and used 3M tapes from here... https://reflectivesupplies.co.uk/

The tape glues are pretty solid once in place, but I found my pannier's plastic surfaces had to be scrupulously clean for them to adhere well - the dealer had cleaned the outside of them with a fancy finishing spray of something or other, which left a smooth sheen on the plastics; that treatment needed cleaning off properly (meths seemed to work and doesn't damage the pannier surfaces). The reflective tape has now been on the panniers for over a year in all weathers and still looks in the same condition as when I applied it.

in 2010 I put reflective tape on my handguards...seems a few have since done the same. Why don't manufacturers just add these details at source...
