Went up this morning and had my 2011 1200 TB done, I didn't do it for power as everyone knows that the TB's are much more powerful than the std 1200's anyway. I wanted to smooth out the vibes at around 5,000 rpm, more lower down torque and correct the lean running as I have a set of Remus headers and an Akropovic with no flap fitted and I was worried that I might have been asking for trouble
I didn't ask Geoff for anything specific just a remap, all I can say is that I got everything I wanted and more, the bike revved quicker as a result of the de-cat anyway but it really winds up quickly now, top gear roll-ons from 1,500 rpm are a blast.
I went up early this morning so did the A34, M40, A46, M69 route in about 2 hours so really boring, coming home I have come down the fosse way to cirencester and then across country, Wootton Bassett, Marlborough, Tidworth and home. The bike is a blast to ride, its top gear everywhere from about 30 mph.
On the way down I stopped for a drink of water in Stow and then Coffee at Cotswold water park - Does this qualify as a ride report?
Geoff is a top man, ignore the nay sayers and if you have been thinking about it my advice is just do it!
Anyway, enough from me, the chart says it all, if your interested the darker lines are after,+18hp (20%) & +16ft lb (23%) resulting in 101.38hp and 83.19ft lb - lovely!
