Remote 'FOB' ignition switch install.

On one of my bikes I’ve fitted a full Motogaget, ‘m’ unit powered wiring system. As part of this I had fitted a fob operated ignition ‘on-off’. Basically you wave the fob at a sensor and ‘voila’ it powers up. Trick eh? Well, no, it’s a pain finding the fob in your pocket, putting it back etc. I wish I’d retained a key. However if that’s what you want it does what it says on the tin. It’s neat and for custom bikes could be hidden away as long as you can get to it so might be the neat solution you’re looking for.

Bulldog from the US works very well.
RFID system like the BmW OE so the length of the antenna wire determines the range and you just switch in the run switch and go.
Shuts down 10s after killing the engine.

Arkwright had one on his cafe racer. I think it was the same one as SP above, but he may correct me.

As I recall, it worked quite well.

I've got a motogadget fob and like it.

The sensor is set up in the airbox lid with a little switch to turn the sensor on/off to stop any battery drain from the sensor searching for the fob..... possibly not essential, but I hate battery drains!

I have a big chain and garage door to unlock, so still have a key ring the fob is attached to, it's all pretty easy.
