Has anyone bought or made-up a remote tank for running the engine in the workshop with the tank off?

If someone's bought one - would you mind sharing the link?

If someone's made one up - would you be able to put some photos on the thread, or describe what you used? Obviously the tank would need a pump etc so wondering if it's worth simply buying a 2nd hand plate and pump from a written off bike (eg from a breaker) or if there's some other way of achieving this.

I think if I was going to spend money on any kind of remote tank setup I'd just make up extensions to the fuel pipes with QD connectors on each end (matching the QD connectors on the bike) and an extended wiring harness for the pump. That would let you run your existing tank on a remote basis (not mounted on the bike). And then when finished working, remove the pipe/wiring extensions and re-fit the tank.

How long you make the extensions to pipes/wiring depends upon how far away you want the tank to be from the bike.

I've got one of those which works grand with carbs. But for BMW fuel injection you need the pump (y)

Yup - that's a good idea - just use the default tank remotel
