Removal of lock from BMW Panniers

Can anyone tell me how to remove the barrel from the locks on the BMW system luggage for 1150gs plastic luggage as I want to sell mine but remove locks before sale.

key in, open lock, at the bottom of the barrel you'll see a tab/knob, push it in and remove the key barrel by pulling the key..

Removing R series pannier locks

I have new panniers and 2 barrels that match the ignition key.

I changed 1 lock in about 10 seconds, the other lock will not come out - any ideas please?

i have the r series panniers the right of which is damaged so will have to change the rear portion, i put the key in the unlock position, does the key normally come out when its unlocked or does it stay in? stupid question i know but im trying to take the lock barrell out,
