Removal of pannier fittings

Given the issues with the Varios I have gone for SHAD top box and expandable panniers. I know that I’ll have to remove the pannier rails themselves, which seems straightforward enough, but I was wondering if anyone had removed the pannier fitting on the pillion footrest hangers yet? I have asked SHAD if it’s required, but was just wondering how straightforward it is if needed.

There’s a video here by peej1977 showing how to remove the pannier rails and disconnect the wires, you can just stick them up the tail section

For the bits on the foot peg hangers there’s just a couple of screws hold them on from behind
