Removing 1200 GS heated grips

I'm thinking of changing the handlebars. Is it possible to get the left hand grip off the bar without damaging the grip?

The grips are attatched by small screws.

You may have to drill and tap your replacement bars to fit them.

Just remove the rear covers on the switchgear and look inside. Two retaining screws, plus a tiny one under the rubber sleeve of the grip and then the bar end weights to remove.
