Does anyone know what removes the little adhesive pads from balance weights. Had new tyres fitted and they pulled-off the old weights leaving the pads behind. I've tried white spirit but no joy. Any suggestions?

Lighter fluid and a bit of elbow grease does a pretty good job . :thumb Dont use it near a naked flame or you might remove the whole bike :D

pick most off with your fingernail, then clean remaining gunge off with WD40.

easy + with grubby nails you'll look like a real mechanic :D

DO NOT get cellulose thinners anywhere near your bike let alone the wheels
Take all the normal precautions (sits back and waits) and use plain old simple petrol.

sounds strange  but spay it with MR sheen let it sit a mo and them try rubbing it off with a cloth

Mr sheen is the best way to remove sticky labels form anything plastic

Try it it sounds hard to beleve but it works :thumb

"Sticky stuff remover" made by Mykal Industries Ltd. 01933 402822

Don't know where she bought it from, but it does exactly as it says on the bottle, smells of oranges. Removed the balance weight marks in about 15 secs with a rub.

mrs cookie has something called "Sticky stuff remover" from betterware :tosser

from the smell of it, it's WD40 with a dash of lemon. works just as well as WD40 only more expensive and smells vaguely of lemon
