Hi,

Probably a dumb question but :)

Just trying to finally get my clutch hose sorted. Got the back end of the bike stripped out, new hose routed through. How do I get remove the threaded rod that is in the way of the clutch slave cylinder out of the way. Its the one the two large allen bolts mount into at the top of the footrest carriers. I have removed the 2 small allen bolts that secure it but can't seem to shift it. Removal advice appreciated - before it rains please!

Thanks, Paul

You dont need to.
As long as the shock is removed and the swingarm is lowered sufficiently, the slave cylinder will come out.
A bit fiddly but not too difficult.

As you say Den - fiddly - but now done. I feel a can of Guiness coming on

I wondered the very same thing yesterday afternoon – I was trying to remove the clutch slave cylinder too. Due to lack of sufficient tools, I had to remove the supporting strut that fits between the foot peg hangers. For future reference, you need to pivot the rear subframe up about an inch in order to remove the strut – lots of stuff has to come off in order to allow the subframe to pivot:(
