Just in the process of getting the OE exhaust and cat off this evening ready to put the new Remus system on, thinking "this is going sweet - soon have this done" when I come to detach the oxygen sensor. Do you think I can get that out- can I hell !!
Release fluid generously applied to the nut, left for a while but no - still can't budge it.
Anyone else had this problem? Any thoughts how to tackle it if it still doesn't release tomorrow ?
Suggestions would be appreciated.

Yeah.........

Mine was bloody tight as well mate............Make sure you have the best fitting spanner on it you can and make sure your turning it the right way, it will come loose bud.......

Just a thought.......would it help to undo it if you started the bike and let it warm the cat up a bit. May be worth a go.....;)

I went and got a brand new ring spanner just for the job and made sure I tried to loosen it while still fitted.
Came out a treat but make sure it's a ring spanner, knuckles may suffer otherwise :thumb

Here's a suggestion........... NEVER, EVER, under ANY circumstances think to yourself, say it to a friend or just mutter under your breath, "this is going sweet - soon have this done" !!!!!!!!!!! :thumb

Lambada sensors.

When I took mine out I left it over night soaked in wd 40, this worked came out ok but you MUST have a good fitting socket hexigon pattern is best , won't round of the corners.

Socket wont fit due to the lead comeing from it. Has to be a ring spanner.;)

Thanks for all you advice guys. Got it hot as suggested and just when I was thinking still no luck............CRACK it eventually let go with no damage to either the cat or the nut. Sensor fitted to y piece with generous smear of copper slip !
Y piece and Remus now fitted and almost ready for trial run on Friday.
Thanks again for your help !:beerjug: :thumb2
