I'm replacing the grips on my DRZ.

The clutch side came off easily enough but the throttle grip is well and truly glued on.

Any tips on removel please; heat, solvents?

Otherwise it looks like a chipping away with a Stanley knife and the inevitable amputated digits

Cheers

might help prob won't!!

I fitted some heated grips to my ktm last week. Same as you the clutch one came off easy enough but the throttle one was stuck. I thought it was glued but tried some wd/lube on it and eventually it came off.

What I'm trying to say is, is it glued or just being awkward:D

flat bladed screwdriver up the hole in the end...
(oooh - that made me eyes water!):eek
...and wiggle it round and round the between the 'bar and the grip- eases the grip (sic!) of the glue on the rubber.
so does very hot / not boiling water poured over it.
hth.:)
