I am not convinced by this chop-shop snorkel mod ... the length must be tuned in some way and I am sure it will effect performance somewhere in the curve. Otherwise why have a snorkel at all, just let it suck straight at the box?

What I did do with an 1150 one at one stage was to heat it with a hot air gun and ream the mouth larger with a suitable bottle. Worked but eventually bought a Boxerdesign one that was great. I see they now have one for the 1200.

Thanks for finding the link Andres. I have taken the plunge and chopped the snorkel. Hopefully I'll be able to find out if it makes any difference at the weekend. If it doesn't then I haven't really lost anything, but if it does I'll have to dig deep and splash out on the proper one. I'll let everyone know how it goes.- if anyone is still interested that is!
