Just about to buy one but want to check a few things first

Buying a Revoloution if that makes any difference

1. Should i also get the link pipe? is there any point?
2. Should i swap out the standard filter for a K&N if i just get the end can or if i remove the cat
3. Should i even bother with the exhaust, love the bike to bits but in 14 years of riding on the road i have never had a bike with a standard exhaust! Its always the first thing i change on every bike, bit more poer etc + people here you coming/get out your way a bit more
4. If i do bother what sort of gains will i get with just the can against the can + link pipe

Thanks all

Hi,

I fitted a Remus about a month ago but my 11 is a non - cat model. I can't say I have noticed any increase or drop off in performance, although it does seem a bit crisper. The main improvement is the bike no longer sounds like a hedgetrimmer ! My standard silencer was all in one with the colector box so I had to buy the link pipe (bloody thing weighed half a ton) previous to fitting the Remus the plugs were running a bit on the rich side but now run a nice golden brown (I still have the original filter in) no problems with the L/H pannier getting hot. Loads of posts about Remus if you do a search. I got mine from Nippy Normans usual quick delivery and the price was good too.

Cheers

Duncan

You'll have to have a link pipe, cus that's the way it is.
Leave the filter alone.
If you want to change it,change it.
It'll make more noise and go a bit better. You have to have a link pipe, because the silencer is part of the centre box.
If you want one, give me a bell and I'll sort you out with one.
